>Vesak day gathering at Suriya’s place

The first people that arrived at Suriya’s were Weelee, Angela and Weelee’s bf,Noah around 3. Preparation of dinner started almost immediately which consist of cooking the rice, frying egg, boiling egg, etc. The girls (and attempted effort by the boys) eventually churned out one full rice pot of sushi!! At around 6, Shihan arrived with the chicken and the girls went on for their hour run.
Dinner consisted of japanese(sushi), western (cajun chicken + mashed potato) and indian (papadum). Yumyum! And on hindsight, it was pretty ironic to be watching “Without Limits”, while while stuffing ourselves silly with the rich food. It was a movie about american running prodigy Steve Prefontaine.
It was quite a motivating movie for runners. Watched it if you haven’t. You can check out his track timings and memorable quotes from the movie. And here is an excerpt from the movie about how he won the 1972 5000m Olympic trials:
Lu Feng retired early upstairs after the movie and the rest insist on scaring themselves by watching “The Exorcism of Emily Rose”. They decided to laugh it off at the horror parts. Turns out that suriya doesn’t even think that it’s a horror show and said he dozed off in the middle part while angela hides behind her pillow each time the music gives a horror tone. haha. After the show, some of them decided to entertain themselves with the power rangers movie -_-’ which brought the Z note to the others.
After that, Jovian and Shihan decided to turn in early as 1 has to work the next day while the other have to go MR. It turned out that Jovian and Shihan dared not turn off the lights when they slept. So chicken!!! Cluck cluck cluck…
The rest proceed to playing card games and Lu Feng surprised us by waking up and ALMOST finishing off the rest of the sushi!! haha. so, the 5 of us (Angela, Weelee, Suriya, Aaron played “asshole Big D” and we learned that we have to break out of the vicious cycle in order not to remain down in the dumps.
But half way thorughout the game Suriya decided to showcase his rapping “talent” irritated the hell out of Weelee and Lu Feng, “With a two, and a two and a diamond two. He puts an ace, an ace, an ace of spades….”
So both of them decided to declare war and aim to put Suriya in the dumps for good!! Lu Feng went off to sleep (again) after putting Suriya down in the dumps for 2 consecutive rounds.
The 4 survivors left continue playing bridge and there were some confusions at times to guessing the partner! haha. We played all the way till 6 am before we couldn’t take it anymore and went off to sleep.
And we woke up for prata breakfast treat by Suriya cos he won some $$ from the MR 25 golden mile race!!! Feels like one big family (where head of the household pays).
Asic Shopping Spree for the racers!

Asic was having their warehouse sale today! Aaron, Angela, Lu feng and JJ wouldn’t miss this amazing opportunity to buy some running shoes! An brief report about the racer’s spending:
- JJ – 1 pair of racer. *totally~ un-huh. pathetic
- Lu Feng – 1 pair of trainer. *not bad
- Angela – 1 pair of trainer and racer. *wheeee … sweet
- Aaron – 1 pair of trainer, 1 pair of racer and 1 pair of spike *BIG WINNER.
Man of the day Award: Mr. Lu feng because he ran out to teller so that he can withdraw money to lend to JJ and Angela to buy their shoes.
Good effort Lu feng and nice try for running fast to withdraw the money *he is trying to impress the girls over there.

On Sunday of 29th April 2007, a few of the Roadracers gathered in Shenton Way for our morning run to help Sosan out in a video shoot.
Those included included Riz, Shihan, Weelee, Angela and Lu Feng. Below is a combined account by Shihan, Weelee and Lu Feng uncensored. No offence to anybody, all in the name of fun, laughter, peace and joy.
6: wake up. raining outside. tmd.
615: dragged my ass out of the house.
630: Sosan msgs to tell us to take our time cos it’ll probably be delayed.
650: reach city hall mrt. *yawn* sleepy….
715: Weelee calls to say she just woke up. (-_-”)
750: everyone reaches, we start our run.
750-9: our 1hr10min long run turned into an adventure race as we cut through construction sites, stopped cars to cross roads, waved maniacally at tourists (land of 4 million smiles remember?), and got lost somewhere in marina park. There was alot of laughter and the part we found that only tourist from selected countries gave us weird stares while the others(majority) greeted us back.
9-1230?: FILMING! we worked out way backwards ’starting’ with the finishing scene at Padang area. amused ourselves by watching Lu Feng do his best imitation of Kumar as Chang-E (some chinese moon goddess). In addition, he tried to do a vocal of “One night in Beijing” by Shin.
Now, that was fine… except that he tried to sing the soprano part (3min 32s onwards). O.o Amazing stuff, now we learn that he’s a man of many talents..

Weelee got inspired and also tried to do a rendition of an ancient Chinese girl committing suicide, “Niang, nu er bu xiao.” Which translated, means “Mother, your daughter is unfillial, ” before she proceeds to “hang” herself using Sosan’s 10m white cloth. For those who lack a vivid sense of imagination, please check out the video:
Angela and Shihan also whiled some time away perving incredulously at Riz’s supposedly ‘bony’ ass in the black tights. (????) So sorry, but unfortunately there is no video for this one ;p
Then we walked to Lau Pa Sat, doing more filming along the way. But surprisingly not too many NGs. Think we did a pretty good job acting as ourselves in the middle of a race.
so to summarise: walkwalkwalk, film, walkwalkwalk, film/run, walkwalkwalkwalk. and of course, complain.

It was all worth it in the end when Sosan treated us to brunch.. Thank you Sosan!! *will work for food* Next time got more lobang must call us ya? haha..
