so i always knew about this blog. but honestly i only read it once after sunig (so horrible right?!) haha so when patrick asked me to write about today’s carnival, i thought to myself, why not? and so i spent a considerable amount of time reading all ur posts and i just realized how much i have missed out! 😦 so thanks patrick for this opportunity! 😀
so the end of season carnival! 🙂 something that we’ve all been anticipating for days! when i first found out i couldn’t make it (melvin initially planned it on tues and i wasn’t free), i was DEVASTATED. hahaha i’m not exaggerating! it sounds so fun and i really didn’t wanna miss it! but of cos the flexible captain listened to my woes hahaahahah and actually considered changing the date! 😀 huge thanks to the captains especially melvin for organizing this cos i know that he really put in a lot of effort into the carnival and was actually involved in preparing the WHOLE thing even though he allocated tasks to others. like, he came over and helped out when me, tricia and caisang were decorating the cross board!
😀 and also thanks to the organizing committee and those who helped out on the actual day itself. but i think everyone deserves to be thanked for making the carnival a HUGE success (: i mean everyone really helped out!! and i’m sure everyone did their best doing the 2.4 and aiming for their PB! plus the competitive spirit during the relay (which got out of hand when we started booing for team rojak cos they won hehe) it was simply everyone’s enthusiasm that made the carnival such a huge success and indeed a meaningful one to all of us (:
i don’t know how you guys feel, but i’m especially emotional after the carnival ended. hahaahah not emo ah!! but i’m just really touched by how far we’ve come and how close we’ve become (: i was especially emotional during the performance! (tricia you would totally agree with me on this hehe!) the song lyrics were so meaningful and i think everyone in the team can relate to it! guys, we’ve really come a long way and i know there’s still a few more years for me but for the seniors, i’m so sad that you will leave the team soon 😦 though the end of season carnival was a huge success and everyone was all smiles, it also meant that the semester is coming to an end. and very soon, we’ll all be busy with exams 😦 i think the captains/vice-captains have done a great job this year. and they’ve set such a high standard for their successors haha. but since we are this close now, i have faith that the team will only get closer 🙂 I LOVE NUS CROSS COUNTRY (and so do a lot of you too!!! hehehehe) once you are part of this wonderful team, you always will be a part of it (: looking forward to another season with you guys!! awwww <333333333
p.s. whoa my first post and its so wordy!! hehe and sorry only one pic so my post looks really boring :p
