Race Summary January-March 2015

Hey fellow runners!

Hope you finished your mid terms and enjoyed your mid-term!

It has been a while since the last update which is the IVP 2015.

As we begin the second leg and final leg of the AY14/15 Semester 2, we have competed in 4 races, all were held in Bedok Reservoir Park since late Jan till early Mar 2015

1. Akira Swift Goh Teck Phuan Memorial Age Group Cross Country Championships 2015 on 24th Jan 2014.

We sent a total of 5 teams to represent NUS, (3 teams of 6 men, 2 teams of 6 women) competed with other 13 teams(men open) and other 9 teams (women open).

Our men teams came in 1st, 5th and 8th position while our female teams came in 1st and 4th position.

2. 64th EPN/SAA Cross Country Championship on 7th Feb 2015

We sent a total of 4 teams to represent NUS, (3 teams of 4 men, 1 team of 4 women) competed with other 9 teams(men open), and other 3 teams (women open). Despite facing fierce competitions in both genders, our men teams came in 3rd, 4th and 8th position while our female teams came in 2nd position.

3. Wings Athletics Cross Country Athletics 2015 on 28th Feb 2015

We sent a total of 4 teams to represent NUS, (2 teams of 6 men, 2 teams of 6 women) competed with other 25 teams(men open), and other 19 teams (women open). This race had the fiercest competition among the races we competed in. We braved the scorching sun and the largest number of competitors in both categories, our men teams came in 1st and 7th position while our female teams came in 2nd and 11th position.

4. Akira Swift Road Relay 2015 on 7th Mar 2015

We sent a total of 4 teams to represent NUS, (2 teams of 4 men, 2 teams of 4 women) competed with other 11 teams(men open), and other 9 teams (women open).

Despite this race started late with much delays, our men teams came in 2nd and 10th position while our female teams came in 3rd and 6th position. We also brought home one of the lucky draw prize.

Despite the unique challenges each races had, we managed to bag home quite many medals in this short period. We are certain that our training has paid off. Memories and friendships were made and experience gained throughout this season. Well done to those who represented the school!
